DiabloSport's 3rd generation InTune i3 performance programmer builds on the existing features of the highly successful, industry leading InTune i2. DiabloSport makes it even easier to upgrade vehicle performance by simply altering the factory tune with a handheld, touchscreen tuner that utilizes an easy to use interface. The i3 is a performance upgrade that can make the throttle more responsive, optimizes shift patterns, or even add bottom-end horsepower. DiabloSport has an extensive list of vehicle application coverage for U.S. domestic vehicles and is compatible with 1000's of cars, trucks and SUV's.
In addition to installing performance tunes, the i3 retrieves diagnostic data from a vehicle via the OBD-II connection. It has the ability to check and clear diagnostic trouble codes and record key performance data parameters to use during your tune altering process. All data can be exported a PC and used with DiabloSport's free Data Viewer logging software to allow detailed examination of graphing readouts for live display or playback. A new intuitive online update feature allows you to easily keep your i3 software updated via Wi-Fi and provides extended vehicle coverage, new features extends the product warranty and much more.
Both DiabloSport InTune i3 and i3 Platinum allow multiple licenses to be added onto the handheld programmer. The days of having a tuning module compatible with only one car are over. Instead of purchasing a tuner for each car, you can add a tuning license to your i3 and use the same device to tune all of them simultaneously. Adding additional licenses is easy and can be done directly from the handheld programmer by updating the ignition update software. Any license for any DiabloSport supported vehicle can be added to either model i3. Mix and match makes and models to suit your own personal needs.
InTune i3
The InTune i3 is designed for stock and soft modified vehicles that want to get the most out of the factory tune. i3 is capable of using pre-loaded tunes that are configured with your vehicle, driving style and performance needs to offer a tuning solution. Unlike the i2, the i3 recently received the 50-state legal certification under CARB E.O. # D-770*. Whether you are in California or not, this critical certification ensures that you will be legally compliant at your local smog or emissions test center. Now performance tuning and legal compliance are bundled together to provide an all-in-one tuning solution.
InTune i3 Platinum
The InTune i3 Platinum is designed for hard modified vehicles that need to take their performance tune to the next level. i3 Platinum is designed to work in combination with DiabloSport's Chip Master Revolution (CMR) and allows you to build custom tunes for vehicles equipped with extensive aftermarket upgrades.
Due to the legal limitations on custom built tunes, i3 Platinum does not have the 50-state legal certification the i3 has. Likewise, the i3 is not CMR compatible like i3 Platinum. Some tuning features may vary based on vehicle year, make and model. 2015+ Dodge Challenger Hellcat InTune i3 50-State legal certification is pending at this time.
2015+ Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep & Ram vehicles come from the factory with an encrypted (locked) powertrain control module (PCM) that cannot be tuned. Because of this, DiabloSport handheld tuners will not work with any 2015 and up FCA vehicle with an unmodified (stock) PCM. These vehicles require a DiabloSport modified PCM installed prior to any tuning. DiabloSport offers year, make and model specific PCM modules for sale that will allow you to use a DiabloSport handheld tuner after installation.
Do not attempt to tune any 2015+ FCA vehicle without a DiabloSport Modified PCM installed as it may cause irreparable damage to your vehicle’s computer. This line of modified PCM’s are for off-road use only and are not available for sale or use on pollution controlled vehicles in the state of California or in other states that have similar emission regulations.
