The most efficient method of exhausting wasted gasses in a turbo system is by venting them to the atmosphere. We realize that not every car owner likes to hear the wastegate open every time he hits the 'GO' button, so we gave in and made a reroute kit.
Other companies reroute the wasted gasses into the O2 housing two inches from the turbine outlet. This method kills turbine efficiency by increasing post-turbine backpressure and turbulence. Instead of following suit with an inefficient design, we decided to develop a reroute that enters the exhaust furthest away from the turbine. This gives us the benefit of noise reduction WITHOUT decreasing turbine efficiency.
Introducing our external wastegate reroute kit "The Quiet Mod" for SRT-4 Big Turbo owners. This Reroute Kit includes a 24" section of galvanized steel flexible tubing that attaches to the external wastegate dump tube with a heavy duty t-bolt clamp. The flex tubing is then routed into your exhaust system at 45 degrees with your choice of a bolt-on adapter (drilling required) OR weld-on adapter.
